One of our campus reps at State University of New York, Oswego, Story Teller (Mike Hickey) has been working on a mashup EP titledSometimes I Make Mashups that we’re releasing exclusively through TSS. His first single off the EP, ‘Hypnotizing Humor’ combines Notorious BIG’s lyrics from ‘Hypnotize’ with Mike Stud’s beat from ‘College Humor’ to create an amazing hip hop mashup. Lokid – Fear of Heights (MSD VIP Remix)

Today I’ve got a tune from French producer MSD, who in just 2 months has been quickly gaining DJ support from the likes of Datsik, Cookie Monsta, Brown & Gammon, Plastician, TRUE TIGER, and Mistajam on BBC Radio 1. MSD released this tune last week on BeatPort as a B-side of a single by the French glitch-hop producer Lokid, however, his management sent it to me yesterday and wanted to give a free copy out to all the fans. The track is titled ‘Fear of Heights’ and this is the VIP remix from MSD; a sheer demonstration of his musical talent and why he has been turning the heads of the big-name artists listed above. This one has been out for a little while, but being the new hip hop author, I wanted to catch everyone up on my favorite songs over the past couple weeks. Skizzy Mars – Sirens

This is a dope track that Ben put me onto last night from 18 year old Manhattan MC Skizzy Mars. Skizzy in my opinion sounds like a mix between Mac Miller and Kanye West, which is ironic because the MC cites Yeezy as one of his influences, along with Beirut, The Killers and Frank Ocean. Nonetheless, Skizzy holds it down on this upbeat track, he comes off real cocky but he has the lyrics to back it up. Peep.

Groove Armada – Soundboy Rock (Cyrex Remix)

Groove Armada is an English electronic music duo from London, England comprising Andy Cato and Tom Findlay which was born in the mid-1990s.
